I have tried many times and it didn’t worth for me. My experience was that each time I came back to recovery I had compromised my values and lowered my personal behaviors to the point where I just didn’t want it to get any worse. No one can make you be an alcoholic. Only you can stay stopped for yourself. No one can do this for you either. For me was only able to continue to improve myself and my life by staying away from drinking and drugging one minute at a time.

No, not if you are an alcoholic, a heavy drinker, but not an alcoholic. If you are alcoholic you can try a 1000 different ways and nothing will work except for abstinence from alcohol

No it’s not possible for an alcoholic to go back drinking and keep it under control. I know a lot of people that tried and it never worked. I don’t know why anybody that drinks that stops wants to go back to it. Do anything I never did for me was take my money away from me. And make me an idiot to where I didn’t remember anything. I was always told that if I go back drinking I’ll pick up where I left off. And I choose not to do that and I don’t want to find out. I am the type of drunk they could drink a case of beer and I’m not phase me at all. I choose not to find out for that simple fact and that it ruined my life.

There’s days I wish it was possible but there’s no way.

I have tried 100 times. Thought I could handle it. That was never the case for me. 1 would lead to blackout. For me it is unfortunately no drinking. But honestly life has been much better without it, for so many reasons

If you are a real alcoholic and have the allergy that real alcoholics have to alcohol, NO.

Doubt might be worse. I stopped for 8 months 3 years ago didn’t start of bad but months later was drinking daily. Might’ve had something to do with my mother passing though

After 10 years without a drop, I tried. I could not do it. Ended up on about a month straight bender. My life got bad fast! Glad I got dry again.

There’s a saying that “once you’ve become a pickle, you’re a pickle.” I found that to be true thru a relapse 5 years ago.

Slippery slope...

I can not drink in safety my life is much better without I may be able to have one drink in one day but the next day is when it all comes back so easy the resentments and anger the fear that’s what ends up taking hold

Nope.... I thought I could and big surprise... I couldn't

Dig really deep and question why you're considering it. If you're honest with yourself, you'll probably come to the conclusion on your own that it's a bad idea. Also, the overwhelming majority of recovery programs and addiction experts strongly advise against it. Let that speak for itself.
