Is anyone good with panic attacks. I'm having one after another I'm literally trembling. I need someone to help talk me down. Please

When I am struggling with panic attacks, I find that it is best to ground myself. Look around the room and find:
5 things you see
4 things you can touch
3 things you hear
2 things you smell
1 thing you taste

Also try to force yourself to drink some water and if someone is with you have them hold you and try to distract you with something (tv, a game, etc). If you’re alone then I recommend taking a shower, that helps me a lot. You’ve got this, we all believe in you!

Meditation for mild anxiety. If I can’t meditate I call/text for help until I get help. Talking it out almost always calms me.

Yeah that's normally what I have to do. Seems another person is the only way I get calmed down

For me, focusing on breathing makes me more anxious because I know I'm not breathing right. I try to use self talk. Rationalize if this is a real fear and if there is anything I can do. Music helps me a lot. Try to put on your favorite music. My neice says wating something helps her but doesnt for me.

What’s been helping me for the last 18 months is talking about it with my sponsor. Sharing about it in meetings.
Listen to feedback from others rather I like it or not and rather I agree or not. Truth is most don’t understand our dilemma.
Constantly do gratitude checks. Take several showers if necessary. If you need to talk I’m here for ya.

This is going to sound weird, but it helps to suck on something. Anything. Tricks and calms the brain. Like a lemon with pepper on it or a popsicle. Cold showers also help shock the system. Comedy is the best remedy Though, put on a funny tv show or movie. I’m here if u wanna talk, don’t hesitate to reach out. :two_hearts:
