You know the 7th will
mark 9 mos on my journey in sobriety. I am in the middle of a divorce that's turning nasty and work in a very high stress environment. It's only by the grace of God and the fellowship of AA that I haven't picked up a drink or a drug to cope. It's actually the first time in my life that I've faced life on life's terms. I am humbled and grateful to have a great job and to have people around me that care. When I think about how shitty things can be I make myself remember how I felt on my binges. The depression, the guilt, the sorrow, the remorse. If your going through a tough time don't hesitate to reach out to someone in the program in your area. It's helped me tremendously in my journey and I pray that it will you too! Happy New Years everyone.
