When recording conversations is there anyway the other person knows your recording

Possibly. Make sure you check your state laws. It's illegal to record a conversation without the other party's/parties knowledge in some states; and that conversation isn't admissible in court.
My attorney told me to download and record my conversation. That it is legal for me to do. So my question now is how do I use the app? When I’m in the phone with said person do I just click on the app? How do I start recording after I’ve answer my phone call?
Wouldn't that be something best asked of the app that you are using? Try contacting their support.
