Today is my “heavy metal” day. One year of sobriety. There’s no confetti or fanfare. It’s another day. The pain of causing so much hurt to the ones I love lingers but the ability to make amends is calming.

Great job man! Have you done your 4th and 5th steps yet? If you still have those resentments against yourself it might slow you down.

I am just on step two. People who are young in sobriety with just a year or two have the struggles fresh in their minds and are a good source of support for beginners
