Tips for being sober

Howdy! I want to quit drinking for good. I understand it’s a journey, and I’m curious what has worked for you all in your quest for sobriety. What small tips or steps would you recommend that make a big impact on your day?

Hi bud. For me it has taken to finally get into a rehab for a month, actually I did two month long rehabs, and outpatient, and multiple detox visits. Your path doesn't have to include those steps or it can or it can be more. It depends on you and what you need and then your willingness. Many many people have done it through AA meetings. There are nuts and bolts though. The real ticket in my opinion is the willingness to admit there is a problem, learning to accept this, and then surrendering to this fact and to the fact that other issues are there and need to be delt with.

How much are you drinking? Can you sober up safely without help and seek help?

I am from MN recently and have been through a few hoops there in recovery, I could steer you in a direction if you want
