Good morning everyone happy Saturday Going to see my therapist today who is an addiction specialist. This is part of my recovery that I resisted for years and has been a huge part of the success of my recovery this time around. What’s everyone doing for their mental health today ?

Glad to hear you're doing well. I too went to therapy for a while(it was for grief counseling to deal with a loss experienced during my addiction). It was a great help to me as I was working on my 8th & 9th Steps. Absorb as much knowledge as you can; use the knowledge that works for your life in recovery, leave the rest for someone else who needs the help. Good luck
I took a nap. If I don't I have mental fog. Taking naps help me think clearer.
I really love what you said. Mental health is of phenomenal importance and most tend to neglect theirs. Congratulations on your journey in recovery.
Today like every day I start with a few minutes to myself in the morning to reflect on my thoughts and feelings. Then I usually go for a workout to help settle my mind and prep for my day.
I love working out. Even a few seconds in we feel the difference. It’s relaxing.

My mental health practice is getting out of the house and if I can into the woods.
I take my meds religiously! I go to aleast three meetings a week. Also I have hobbies. Most of the people you see in recovery with long clean /sober time have hobbies. I do colored pencil scenes at the river. Also I make jewelry for friends. I also make beaded Keychain representing clean time and football teams colors. The hardest one to get is maroon for the former redskins.

Yesss exercise is such a great tool, it’s amazing how just doing a little you can feel the difference it makes !

Agreed, love to start the day with some reflection and a little reading meditation. Working out is always better in the morning, sets a great pace for the day.
Yes agreed naps for the win, when in doubt nap it out lol.
