Started the jourmey yesterday. Where do I begin? I've had about 10 years of alcohol abuse and I'm just exhausted. So I am here.
Kendra, I would suggest going to a meeting; even if you just listen. There are many wonderful women in the program- if you find one that you connect with start/have a conversation.
When I first joined AA, I was told to get a homegroup, get a sponsor and get a commitment in a quick manner. This was scary, but it help ALOT!

I got sober by going to rehab, getting a sponsor, and working the steps. I also treated my bipolar disorder, which helped my recovery immensely.
