Recently Relapsed

Just relapsed after being almost a year sober from alcohol not sure what to do or how to keep myself from getting back into old habits does anyone have any advice

Yeah absolutely, glad you’re here! I would suggest removing yourself from the people, places, and things that either triggered the relapse or could possibly perpetuate the issue. If you feel like a group of sober people could support you theres a bunch of 12 step based groups full of humans that would love to be there to support you. If that’s not your jam, that’s ok too- but it’s definitely what helped me. I also went to treatment to get sober but I had run my life into the ground & im not sure what your circumstances are. im sure there’s other ways to get Sober and plenty of advice but 12 step and treatment worked for me. theres also meetups and stuff online I know for sober people outside AA or books on sobriety i know it helps to have coping mechanisms and therapy could also be a good alternative or addition. feel free to add me as a friend too on here!

Thank you for the advice I'm new on here and still trying to figure out how to use it i haven't had any social media in over 5 years so I'm trying to navigate through this app I appreciate all your suggestions I will try some
