Pretty much like a coach … someone with years of experience in being sober, and may not mind being a mentor?
My sponsor wants me to be a sponsor but I don’t feel ready. Of course he says you never feel ready and you’ve just got to do it.
I think you should try it, seems your sponsor thinks your ready or else he wouldn’t suggest it. I’ve been hearing it’s best for women to have women sponsors no?

Absolutely.
If you're willing, maybe start just raising your hand at meetings when they ask for those willing to sponsor. Trust that your HP will send you someone when your HP feels you're ready
