“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

With all due respect, maybe if you worked your program differently you would not feel that way?
I don't feel limited in any way, shape or form from alcohol. I choose not to drink because I prefer me as I am without it. My "recovery" has been a process of becoming stronger and more confident, especially in controlling my life and claiming my rights. That is empowerment.
With that empowerment I am able to over come fear, feeling uncomfortable, being vulnerable,etc.. I have to be honest, baring witness to those feelings. Then I experience and share unconditional love, hope, clarity of thought and live within an euphoria of peace and serenity.
Over time, I have been able to live with considerable lengths of consistency within this/ these concepts.
Life, of course is random so there are breaks in this. But they are far and few between.
Have a great day!

It’s just a quote from a book I read  nothing more. I’m happy joyous and free since 9/1/00
