Newly Sober

Hey from California! Today I am 3 weeks sober. I feel and look much better but I am still having problems sleeping :sleeping: and having to actually deal my emotions instead of drinking them away.

Congrats on your sobriety. I'm glad you're experiencing the benefits quickly.

You might be having a hard time with emotions because you're in the beginning stages of sobriety. You're letting your body know it won't have anymore alcohol. It's part of withdrawals.

To obtain better sleep don't nap. If you must don't nap more than 20 minutes per day. Stretch before bed. Once you're in the bed take deep breaths. Make sure you exhale slowly.
