The topic was sponsorship at the meeting I attended tonight.
As many of you know I had to get a different sponsor the other day. It’s going ok. I like him. He’s not pushing me hard enough or giving me the knowledge I need to learn about AA step work. I’m going to be patient and give it some time. In the meantime, the meeting topic was interesting. I took what I needed and left the rest and on my way home a AA friend called me. He asked if I could be his sponsor. And that is why I want to learn these steps quickly. I want to be able to help this guy. I said yes to him and we will work the steps together. I’ll just figure it out as we go. Not the first time I’ve had to figure out stuff on my own. Just seems odd that sponsor aren’t willing to push their sponsee through the steps quickly these days. In the book it said some of the reviving addicts were through all the steps in one day!
I guess I’m just wanting something bad and my addictive traits are popping up?
