Opiate deaths have been accelerating during the Covid pandemic. 90,000+ people died of drug overdoses from October 2019 to Sept. 2021. The most ever recorded in history.
The stigma of addiction is crippling and needs to end. Addiction/mental illness is the great equalizer affecting all demographics and kills indiscriminately. I am grateful that I had the opportunity to get help for my drug addiction.
I'm mad that most don't.
