I couldn’t agree more. My recovery program borrows from many Eastern philosophies like Buddhism and many times, Mindfulness has acted as my Higher Power

Totally agree. Mindful meditation has kept me in the present. It has allowed me to enjoy the little good things that happen so much more, and not get overwhelmed by the little bad things.
