Getting sober and staying sober in the beginning is very difficult. I can testify to this. I would like to tell you that my life is much much better since I made the decision to stop drinking. There are going to be problems along the way. It's called life. Life doesn't stop happening just because we stop drinking. But we get better at handling life. You have to take it a day at a time and you have to make the decision that you're not going to go at it alone. People that go at it alone fail miserably.
Please don't give up. Give sobriety a chance and don't quit before the miracle happens. You need to get some friends that have been sober for a very long time and get their phone number and start using that phone. That would be a great way to start. Then you need to get involved with Alcoholics Anonymous or NA if your choice was drugs.
