I'm bummed. I had to exit someone out of my life because they won't get sober.

I'm sorry to hear that. :frowning: I had to do that when I was younger. When I got sober the first time it felt pretty lonely because I watched most of those people disappear. Hang in there … we don't know the great connections with people that lie ahead. Hopefully your friend will surprise you some say and pull through too.

Remember that some of our companions on life's journey are not going to travel the same road, and if they do it may not be at the same time. Our destination is our own. The bible says, “ how can two walk together, lest they agree?” Sometimes we have to part ways so we can go down the right road. I know it sucks but you will be glad you made the choice now, when you reach your destination
