I set out to get my Private Pilot License (PPL) in 2009. Unfortunately I was still cleaning up the wreckage of my past. At age 62 I'm too old to start a career as an airline pilot but not too old to finish earning my PPL.
It's never been a better time then now to become a pilot. There is a shortage of pilots and they are starting to offer better pay and training cost assistance to attract potential candidates.
I get that some of us have muddied up our lives. I did my share of creating damage but most of it has been long since patched up.
Life can be very exciting after sobriety.
