Hi Kristine, I'm not a professional and I'm also brand new to this app. Do you want to talk about what's on your mind? I'm addicted to methamphetamine but have also been addicted to Oxy and Coke.
Kristine ive been in the same boat. addicted and obsessed is the same thing really. The mental obsession causes one to be an addict. I’d love to talk more with u about it. I still have my days of struggling.

Been sober for about two months which isnt a long time but have been educated in the subject and would like to share what I know hoping it may help u even if it’s just a little bit

As someone already said, the mental obsession is a big part of addiction. Your brain actually builds neural pathways to make you think substances are as important as food.
It takes time to rebuild that thought process, and there's a very good chance that professional help is your best course of action.
