I would like to date others in recovery

I would wait for at least one year. It may not sound like the best plan but it’s something I should have listen too more of. My head space was to messy to handle a relationship.
I’m building one with God of my understanding first then when the time is ready I’ll be mentally stable. Doesn’t mean not to make friends with others who are in recovery. That’s the great perk is that we can have friends and care for others. Just hold back on intimacy.

I absolutely agree, after 10 years, I'm ready for friends and possibly dating.

It’s been one of the hardest things for me too…so much is geared to drinking
