I got out of prison the 17th and have been active in the recovery community in my town since then. I’m pretty blessed to have a childhood female friend who is also in recovery. She comes by before meetings and CR for coffee or to just chill for a bit before we go, and it’s really comforting and encouraging. I’m really trying not to take things for granted in my life anymore, and I’m really thankful that she’s around. Do any of you have a friend like this? I encourage you to get one if you don’t!
