I’m 71 years old and just recently admitted to myself that I’m drinking way too much. I can’t figure out how to stop and I’m too embarrassed to go to a doctor or a group near where I live. I feel really ashamed but I need to stop. I’m familiar with 12 step programs and am considering going, but where I live, in a community of retired people, there’s just so much gossip.. even though it’s supposed to be anonymous, I’d be mortified if anyone knew I had this problem. I’d rather perhaps do this online.Thanjs.
Hi you can join aa meetings online. Get the zoom app installed. Search your local AA website they should have a link for meetings. Here is a link for San Diego http://meetings.aasandiego.org/meetings/
