Hot chocolate recipes

Let's start basic hot coco mix...

3 cups milk powder.
2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 cup coco powder

Sift all the ingredients together until well blended. For a variation you can use vegan milk powder replacements.

For peppermint coco add one drop of peppermint oil to the sugar and sift together until well mixed.

⅓ mix to 8 oz of milk.

Steve's basic Hot Cocoa recipe plus: 1 heaping tablespoon of cornstarch (little extra if substituting with real milk) to get a very decadent thick texture and add real dark or semisweet chocolate chunks to taste… mhmm

I love peppermint hot cocoa. Ghirardelli's sold some at my local Meijer's a few years ago. I have not been able to find any the last couple years. York Peppermint is a hot cocoa flavor. I may try that this season.

I didn't know that about cornstarch. Thanks for the recommendation.

:+1: not kidding, it makes a huge delicious difference
