Hello. Im new on here. Im 114 days off of prescribed benzos. I stopped cold turkey after 7 years of periodic use & 5 months of daily use. The withdrawal was pretty horrific & lasted about 3 and a half weeks. I'm now dealing with post acute withdrawal anxiety and gi issues. An online search led me to this group. I'm hoping to find support while my mind and body get over the dependence that I have on the drug.
Welcome Angel, I’m new to the site too. 4 months and some change after about a decade of progressing alcoholism. The only thing that worked for me, by a mile, was AA and it’s been great. I recommend giving OA a shot but anything like this is great when you can see you’re not alone. Keep coming and you’ll hear your story in those of others. Sometimes it takes patience but reaching out to other addicts will save your life.
