Hello I'm wondering if anyone else has struggled with addiction from an early age? I started drinking daily at 12 and drug use at 13. I have been mostly sober for about 4 years now but have days when I really struggle.
I did-maybe not by the general definition. I became addicted to being love and appreciated. I felt unheard and was willing to be someone different to be loved. Now, I am not an addict anymore. I love me for me. When I decided to become that person I became better for me and those around me.
Struggling is only a struggle if you think of it that way.
I know its easier said than done,
But your 4 years sober now!

Its normal to feel this way.
