I am a Registered Behavior Technician. I implement data driven behavior plans with students who have behavioral needs. Basically I teach kids to act right. It's amazing to see kids make progress behaviorally, academically, and socially.
My point is: get a job you like. A year into my recovery I started working in the behavior field. It gave me so much purpose. I had to get up every day and show up to help kids who depended on me.
Now I'm earning my Master's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. I'm almost done, too! Crazy. Never thought I'd be here.
Find what you love and do it!
