Had anyone out there managed to balance drinking in a healthy way? I’m dry 5-6 days a week but the one day I do let myself drink, the floodgates open. I feel like when I have a drink I’m always just thinking about the next one without even finishing the first. I’ve been to therapy before and they called it the “hungry ghost.” Anyone else have this same problem? Any advice with how to manage it?

I got to the point where I just drank. But I do remember many many (like 25) years ago when I only drank 2-3 days per week. Addiction is progressive.
