Eternally Grateful

I had a 20 year stint with mainly alcohol, then a 6.5 year sobriety from 2007-2014 which were the most productive, happiest years of my life. I then had a 6.5 year stint with meth and booze, which has thankfully been behind me for 40 days now. Life can be cruel, don’t let anything ruin your sobriety, never let your sobriety take a back seat to ANYTHING.

During my sobriety, I ran 2 half-marathons and numerous 10k races. Sunday, my son and I ran a 5k, the first of many more to come. I have SO much for which to be grateful, and I NEVER want to lose sight of that.

I WILL remain sober today, and then I’ll worry about tomorrow.

NEVER looking back.

Head up, chest out, eyes forward. Hoo-ah!

That is awesome. You can do this

Oh and I can see it now, you and your son will run many races together. That's right, just worry about today!

Congratulations Brad! Nice hard work one every day that you have now. I know how hard it is to get those 40 days. And I hope that I never have to go through that again. I never look back and I never look forward I only look for today and only today.
