Coming up on 7 months next week. Although I've been successful these past months I've been feeling a disconnect with people in the rooms. I'm working with my sponsor on the steps and have definitely lacked in my work with the big book. Was wondering if anyone has ever felt similar?
Yes especially with big book. When I can’t engage in it I try to read something else. Something a little less intense. Like 12&12 or Living Sober. Or I’ll read the stories in the second part of the book.

Thank you, yeah I know I need to read the BB but yes I'm glad I'm not the only one who can get drained by it
12 and 12 has always been the go to for me. The br qkdiwn if each step and tradition helps me to internalize the info in a useful way.

Last time I came to AA, I was desperate. I was asked what I was willing to do. I will do anything. I was so sick and tired of being sick and tired. There had to be more.
That was in 2003. I'm glad I kept doing what was suggested.
12 & 12 is an excellent read for the thinking mind.
