Brand new here... Looking for support. Shared how much of my drinking I was hiding from my wife. She understandibly took it hard. Not sure what to do. Thoughts?

Hey! Welcome to the growing community, we’re glad you’re here :grin: first of all, congrats on being honest with your wife. It’s really difficult to tell the truth, especially when addiction is involved and when you know it’s going to hurt them. But it’s all part of the process and you did the right thing!

I would say, just keep proving with your actions that you’re serious about your recovery. Do it for yourself, and it will indirectly benefit your wife as well

Thanks. We are currently separated so it makes my anxiety worse not knowing how she is handling it. It does feel better having her know, even if it ends up badly.

Hmm yeah, I totally get that. It’s obvious you care about her a lot, which is a beautiful thing. Have faith that she’s working through it in her own way. More will be revealed :upside_down_face:
