Bad day help

What do you do when you are having a really bad (mental) day?

Talk with a friend in recovery, sponsor or therapist

I usually try to find something that gives me piece of mind then try to restart my day from there. Doesn’t always work completely but definitely helps.

Thank you Maggy. I luckily do not have the urge to drink. I think I will know when to ask for urgent help but I guess sitting in them is what I have always done and don't know what to do from there.

Melissa, you can't be having a bad day as we need your inspiration! :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Honestly, I've been told that writing a gratitude list is the simplest and most effective way to deal with bad days. To go along with that, I try to recognize the progress I've made in order to put things into perspective.

Meeting/10/11/12/call sponsor/message you or another sober friend

Get to a meeting, listen share, get out of self
