Alcohol is classified as a poison but people know that And keep drinking it. Is it just me or that make me thing there’s a lot people ok with poisoning themself every weekend.
Poisoning myself never entered my mind when I was drinking. I also didn't think about losing my job or hurting my family. Nothing mattered. Except that I needed to drink.

I don't think people see it as poisoning. It's seen as an escape from sorrow, a tool to connect with others, a temporary relief from pain. If the world would properly respond to the underlying issue then we wouldn't have such a severe issue now.
