16 days sober today. 
It doesn't seem like much but 14 days ago today, I was released from the ER after two days of throwing up blood, and half a day of projectile vomiting blood all over the ER parking lot and ER. My first time ever going through withdrawals after years of alcohol abuse. But the last few months were my lowest points. I haven't been sober for this many days except during pregnancies. 
Recovery is HUGE for me. Last hospital visit the Dr told me he was worried, that if I kept on with my "habits" he was worried the next time he saw me, I wouldn't be alive. I am 29 with a 4 and 5 year old, with full custody of both. Time to stop hiding, heal my past, work on me, and choose sobriety
